Crandall, Texas – Six Crandall High School football players have been named to the Texas High School Coaches Association's 2013-14 Academic All-State team as voted by member coaches.

The players are seniors Ethan Cannefax, 2nd Team; Garrett Spradling, 2nd Team; Mason Atkins, Honorable Mention; Ariel Banda, Honorable Mention, Bryan Decker, Honorable Mention; and Chandler Hill, Honorable Mention.
“State honorees selected must meet a stringent criteria to qualify for these honors, show hard work, dedication, and commitment in the classroom,” said Crandall ISD Public Relations Spokesperson Kristen Reznicek. “Great job for all of the effort put forth in the classroom over the past four years.”
In order to be nominated, the students must be seniors, be in good standing on the team at the time of nomination, and be of good moral character. The students also had to have an overall grade point average of 92 or above, including grades 9 through 12 and the first six weeks of grade 12.
