Forney, Texas – When Trenton Killingsworth was just 15 years old, he repaired a friend's broken iPhone. Now 18 years old and a senior at Forney High School, Killingsworth is repairing iPhones for many people.

“I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur,” Killingsworth said in an interview with inForney.com at his new retail location at 406 Pinson Road in the back of the Justin Slocum Allstate insurance building. “I never imagined myself owning my own store. When I started doing this out of my room, it was just because a friend needed it done.”
Killingsworth quickly learned the trade and began repairing iPhone screens, buttons, and other common errors with one of the world's most popular cell phones. He officially started Forney iPhone Repair, outgrew his room, and moved to the downstairs office in his parents' home – all while going to school, doing homework, and being a teenager.
After Killingsworth turned 18, he said the first thing he did was establish the business with a retail location to better serve his customers and incorporated the business under a new name – Tech Shark – with future plans to expand into other markets such as Wylie, Texas.
A 15 to 20 minute wait is all it takes to get your screen repaired, said Killingsworth. The brands of repairable devices have also been expanded to include Samsung and Nokia phones and accessories are also available for sale online and in the store including G-Form phone cases. Killingsworth believes in the G-Form cases strength and protection so much he threw his phone on the ground – several times – to demonstrate its durability.
Killingsworth said he owes a lot of his success at the new store to tenant Justin Slocum and new business partner J.J. Tarno of Forney Computer Repair for their business guidance. Forney Computer Repair repairs computers and provides IT solutions for businesses and consumers. “We can pretty much handle any electronic repairs,” said Killingsworth about the partnership with Tarno.
Tarno, also a Dallas Mavericks "Mavs ManiAACs" performer, said, "Trenton was a natural fit for me to partner up with. There's a fun atmosphere here and I love working with the younger generation and their entreprenurial style."
"I also owe a lot of my success to word of mouth from happy customers,” said Killingsworth who also plans to setup during Canton First Monday trade days.
Kilingsworth has also hired his first employee – a fellow Forney High School student – and is also accepting applications for phone repair technicians.
“This is just the beginning,” said Killingsworth with an entrepreneurial sparkle in his eye. Killingsworth plans to attend Texas A&M Commerce where he plans to study business.
