Forney, Texas – Chili's Grill and Bar of Forney is a participating location for a relief fund benefit for Lindale Firefighter Joe Yeakley who was severely burned last month while fighting a structure fire in east Texas.

All day today, February 13, 2014, 10% of your bill at Chili's will go to benefit the Joe Yeakley relief fund when you mention firefighter Joe, the Lindale Fire Department, or by bringing in the event flyer which is pictured below. The restaurant is open today from 10:45 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Yeakley is a 14-year veteran of the Lindale Fire Department and a 30-year veteran of the fire service. Yeakley is also a past member of the Kemp Fire Department where he served as its chief from 1992 until 1998.
Yeakley sustained severe burns on Januray 17, 2014, while fighting a structure fire on Childress Drive in Lindale, Texas. At approximately 1:25 a.m., the structure partially collapsed and trapped Yeakley. Several minutes passed before crews were able to rescue Yeakley from the fire. He was later transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas and listed in critical condition with burns to his face and hands.
Financial donations can also be sent to the Lindale Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 8, Lindale, Texas, 75771. Checks should be made payable to "FBO Joe Yeakley."
