FORNEY, Texas – Emergency responders were dispatched to a second rollover accident on westbound U.S. Highway 80 in nearly as many days.

The first accident was on Saturday, March 28, 2014, on westbound U.S. Highway 80 near the Pinson Road highway onramp. The second accident was today, March 31, 2014, at approximately 5:20 p.m., just a few hundred feet west from the first accident.
Today's rollover accident was across the highway from Kids of Clay Day Care on westbound U.S. Highway 80. A female driver overturned her black two-door coupe before coming to a rest on the vehicle's wheels in the right shoulder of the highway.
The vehicle sustained major damage and the driver was transported to Forney's Lake Pointe Emergency Department. Her current condition is unknown.
The Forney Police Department and fire department responded to the scene. The right lane of the highway was temporarily closed but did not cause any major delays.
The driver from Saturday's accident was arrested at the scene and charged with causing an accident involving damage to a vehicle greater than or equal to $200, a class B misdemeanor.
