FORNEY, Texas – One man has been arrested after a Saturday afternoon motorcycle chase through Forney and Terrell, Texas.

At approximately 3:15 p.m., the police pursuit began on a surface street in Forney, Texas, following an attempted traffic stop. The chase quickly entered U.S. Highway 80 where the motorcycle driver fled eastbound towards Terrell, Texas.
The suspect took SPUR 557 south, then passed FM 148, and onto the IH 20 on-ramp where he exited Rosehill Road. The suspect then fled north on Rosehill Road into the City of Terrell. The Terrell Police Department was also notified of the chase entering their city limits.
The chase continued down several city streets on the south side of Terrell before the driver wrecked the motorcycle on East Newton Street near the intersection of South Delphine Street.
The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by a Forney police officer at approximately 3:22 p.m. – just seven short minutes and approximately 13 miles from the beginning of the chase.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, had an outstanding felony warrant out of Kaufman County. No additional information was available at the time of reporting.
