Forney Police officers Justin Taylor and Mark Inmon were recognized at the May 6, 2014, Forney City Council meeting. According to the recommendation letter, both officers were “very professional and also very compassionate for the young man and [his] unfortunate situation ... They handled themselves very appropriately and made both the young man and his family feel comfortable and safe.”
“They seemed to go above and beyond,” further stated the letter.
“In police officer roles and city government roles we receive a lot of complaints, it's part of the job” said Forney Mayor Darren Rozell who presented the awards. “But every once in a while, somebody takes the time, almost paying it forward, to actually recognize someone for a job well done.”
Officer Inmon was also recognized by the Forney Police Department in March for two misdemeanor drug arrests and a felony drug arrest.
