Forney High School crowned Grand Champion at 7th Annual Dallas Wind Symphony Invitational Windband Festival

The Forney High School wind ensemble was also awarded the Outstanding Large School Windband out of 14 competing schools in the large school division. The Grand Champion award was designated out of 31 total bands participating in the invitational.

The North Forney High School wind ensemble also competed for the first time at the invitational and came in third place overall in the large school division. North Forney's Kirsten Tackett won the competition's Outstanding Percussion Soloist award.
