Forney Mayor and City Council Place 6 remain unchanged, one seat changes in School Board
Forney Mayor Darren Rozell and City Council member Andy Parker were both re-elected to their seats on the Forney City Council. The incumbents defeated challengers John Carr and Joc Lomax, respectively.

Rozell defeated challenger Carr with 57% of the votes or 668 to Carr's 509 votes. Parker captured 60% of the votes against challenger Lomax, winning 650 votes to 435 votes.

Four candidates challenged the three available seats on the Forney ISD School Board: incumbent and Board President Keith Bell; incumbent and Board Vice-President John Taylor; incumbent and Board Treasurer David Walker; and the sole new candidate Kathy Hall. Keith Bell received the most votes with 850 votes, followed by Kathy Hall with 744, David Walker with 699, and John Taylor with 659. Bell, Hall, and Walker will now fill those three seats.

Newly appointed City Council member Ray Stephens went uncontested in Place 2. Stephens filled the vacated seat of councilman Brian Haughey.
